The Opportunity:
This is an excellent opportunity to be a senior member of a growing team specialising in the development, delivery and management of Business Intelligence Environments for a range of customers. Implementations are undertaken using a variety of industry leading software including Kognitio’s own high performance database technology for train of thought analysis against large volumes of data.
Responsibilities
:
Project Manage the delivery of Business Intelligence environments from initial programme conception through to the implementation and on-going management of the solution.
Responsible for entire project team including systems architects, business consultants, developers and operations staff throughout the lifecycle of the project.
Working with Kognitio pre-sales to develop new business opportunities and expand Kognitio’s role with existing clients.
They will be required to:
- Project Manage the delivery of the Business Intelligence Environment including liaison with all levels within the Client organisation using appropriate methods.
- Supervise all phases of the project from initial pre-sales activities through to project implementation and management
- Motivate the projects teams to ensure projects are implemented to time and budget
- Work with the Director of managed services to further develop project management best practice within the BI practice
- Contribute to the continued enhancement of the BI project development methodology
- Contribute to the development of junior project managers
- Support the development teams as required in all aspects of the project
Essential Skills/Qualifications:
- PRINCE2 Accreditation
- Demonstrable Project Management expertise
- Current experience of Business Intelligence projects
- Strong MicroSoft Project knowledge
- Excellent client management skills
- Excellent presentational skills
- RDBMS knowledge
- In depth knowledge of the IT development lifecycle
- Comprehensive knowledge of either the Financial Services, Telecommunications or retail Industry.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools
Desirable Skills/Qualifications:
- BI environment design skills
- Working knowledge of Windows NT environment
- Knowledge of Unix Commands
- Experience of logical and physical phases of BI Database design
- Knowledge of data quality processes

Travel: Based at our Marlow or Bracknell offices, they will have to attend client meetings off site on a regular basis. Travel will normally be within the UK.
